Educating Corporate Leaders: The Role of Business Schools
By Professor Bodo B. Schlegelmilch, Ph.D., D.Litt., Ph.D. (hon.) Head of the Institute for International Marketing Management, Chair: Association of MBAs and Business Graduates Association [AMBA & BGA], WU: Vienna University of Economics and Business Friday February 3, 2023, 12:00 -13:00 pm. Summary: Management education is undergoing paradigmatic changes, and business schools are feeling the brunt of these changes. This presentation proposes that “business as usual” is over for traditional business schools and examines important changes from three different vantage points. From the perspective of customers, the focus lies on technological and value changes. In terms of competitors, the analysis centers on the growing number of alternative suppliers of business education and the geographic shifts in the business school landscape. As to the company dimension, it is the vast number and heterogeneity of business schools that stands out and suggests that business schools are heading toward a business model competition.   For more information please contact Khun Nanthapak Pinyo at 091 479 4551, 02 218 4036 or researchseminar@sasin.edu.
