Sasin’s Sustainability & Entrepreneurship (SEC) team recently welcomed 31 undergraduate students and staff from MacEwan University in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The students were here on an 11-day classroom and field trip program to learn about local culture and sustainable development practices in Thailand. During their visit, they learned about the sufficiency economy, sustainable food production, green buildings & renewable energy, natural wastewater treatments, sustainable tourism, and Buddhism. Among their activities in the Kingdom, the students learned to appreciate the food on their plates by trying their hand at rice farming and artisan clam digging.
