Congratulations to Sasin MBA students Nalinrat Boonnikornvoravith, Pailin Geseyarakwong, and Nucharin Kantapasara, who recently participated in One Young World 2017 from October 4 – 10 in Bogota, Colombia. The trio were delegates of Unilever Global after winning the Unilever Future Leader’s League competition in London in April.
One Young World (OYW) is an annual summit which gathers the most promising young talent from companies, NGOs, universities and other organizations from 196 countries to share their experiences and ideas and to make connections to create positive change in the world.
The event included addresses by: 2016 Nobel Peace Laureate and current President of Columbia, Juan Manuel Santos; 2011 Nobel Peace Laureate and co-founder of Women Journalists Without Chains, Tawakkol Karman; 2001 Nobel Peace Laureate and former Secretary-General of the United Nations, Kofi Annan; 2006 Nobel Peace Laureate and Founder of the Grameen Bank, Professor Muhammad Yunus; and musician, activist, and founder of Band Aid and Live Aid, Sir Bob Geldof.
On the first day of the event, Khun Nalinrat was one of three delegates to win the OYW Instagram photo competition. Her prize is to be an OYW Returning Ambassador at OYW 2018 in The Hague, Netherlands.
On the second day of OYW, Unilever Colombia, the center of Latin American operations, invited the Sasin team to visit their offices and to meet their top management team and learn about Unilever’s sustainable business practices.
The Sasin team says being at One Young World has inspired them to #LeadTheChange to the world.
