As part of our ongoing Global Leader Speaker Series, we were honored to welcome David MacLennan, the Chairman, President & CEO of Cargill, Inc., to Sasin last month. Mr. MacLennan’s presentation, “Disruptive Change: Food for Thought” focused on his list of leadership constants. These include the need to keep learning, embrace change, take bold, decisive action, and prioritize innovation and ingenuity.
“As a CEO, you need resilience,” he also noted. “You can’t plan for everything that will happen.”
More than 75 Sasin students, alumni, faculty, and staff attended this special talk by the leader of the largest privately-held company in the U.S. Cargill is also one of the largest agribusiness companies in the world, with 155,000 employees in 70 countries. In Thailand, Cargill has 17,000 employees.
