“I think that education is the key to the future That inspired me and my friends to volunteer to teach English to disadvantaged children at one of the local communities in Bangkok English is especially important. We start with the easy words and progress to words that are used in particular professions. My technique is to ask the children what they would like to be when they grow up. Each child would come up and speak to the class in English about his/her future aspirations.Then, I will also guide them on how they might achieve that goal.

 

 

For example, if a child wants to become a doctor, I would tell him/her that in order to become a doctor he/she must concentrate on subjects like science and math, and also be diligent because a doctor must be responsible for his patients’ lives. I could see the happiness in the children’s eyes when they talk about their future. And, I feel very privileged to be able to perhaps make their dreams a little more focused.”
