On November 18, 2021, Sasin Japan Center (SJC) co-organized a business webinar with AOTS (The Association for Overseas Technical Cooperation and Sustainable Partnerships) for 40 executives, lecturers, and consultants from 12 countries including Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, India, Laos. Participants represented several industries including automotive, pharmaceutical, retail, business education, agriculture and others.
This 4-day program, “Strategic Management Across Cultures in the Post COVID-19 Era”, consisted of four parts – Day 1: Globalization and Strategic Management; Day 2: Globalization and Regional Business Strategy (cooperative strategy); Day 3: Strategic Human Resource Management and Transcultural Management; and Day 4: Final Presentation on Sustainable Companies and Their Relationships with Society in the Global Era. The program was subsidized by the Japanese government as a part of an ODA project to help develop business experts in developing countries.
In the day 1 session on globalization and strategic management, Professor Takamasa Fujioka, Director of the Sasin Japan Center, talked about the basics of strategic management, gaining a sustainable competitive advantage, and the global value chain.
