On February 7th, Sasin was notified that one of our staff members had tested positive for COVID-19. While asymptomatic, the person remains isolated, but is feeling well, at Chulalongkorn University Hospital. Our thoughts are for a speedy recovery.
Sasin has been coordinating with Chulalongkorn University’s COVID Center to ensure the health and safety of everyone in our community. After being notified of the case, we immediately shifted all classes online and required all staff and faculty to work-from-home for two weeks (February 8-21).
We also put the following measures in place:
- three high risk individuals, who had direct contact with our staff member, were put in quarantine and were tested on February 8 – all tests have come back negative;
- everyone else at Sasin, according to Chula COVID Committee’s guidelines, is considered low risk, but we have urged everyone to self-monitor for symptoms and self-isolate while working or studying from home;
- we have offered COVID-19 tests to anyone who requests it;
- only a minimal crew will work onsite, as authorized by Sasin’s Director or Deputy Directors.
