On December 2, 2021, Sasin Sustainability & Entrepreneurship Center (SEC), together with the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR), the V. Vajiramedhi Foundation and MOCA Bangkok, launched UNHCR’s global campaign to support talented young refugees around the world through scholarships for higher education and specialized vocational skills training. This 3-year campaign will require extensive support from both the public and private sectors to reach the US$23 million goal and change the lives of these young refugees.
Nick Pisalyaput, Sasin Deputy Director for Strategy, Innovation, & Impact, joined the panel discussion and reiterated Sasin’s commitment to the campaign, which will expand education opportunities for refugees and help them to be self-reliant and have a better future. These objectives are in line with Sasin’s mission and vision and coincides with our new Turnkey Scholarship Project, which will provide five annual scholarships for qualified refugees. With this Turnkey Scholarship Project, we continue to create global impact with our strong network and initiatives by providing opportunities to young people with outstanding potential.
