By Panichat Kitisittichai, SasinSEC          Sasin School of Management’s Sustainability & Entrepreneurship Center (SasinSEC) recently collaborated with Bank of Ayudhya PCL to present the first annual Krungsri ESG Awards. The Awards, formally presented on November 9, 2023 at the Bangkok’s Siam Kempinski Hotel, herald Bank of Ayudhya’s progress towards ESG sector leadership. The Krungsri ESG Awards program is designed with multifaceted objectives, all converging to help shape a more sustainable future: 1. The program is intended to highlight Krungsri’s role as an ESG trailblazer and a catalyst within the industry, epitomizing its commitment to championing sustainability and responsible business practices; 2. It endeavors to showcase the value-added services Krungsri offers, services aimed at aiding customers to comprehend and adopt ESG objectives within their businesses; 3. The program also seeks to forge stronger customer relationships and bolster Krungsri’s image as a trusted business partner, leading to enduring partnerships grounded in sustainability and mutual growth. In today’s business context, incorporating ESG factors has become non-negotiable for long-term success. Companies that prioritize reducing their carbon footprint, following human rights standards, and embodying ethical ideals and transparency will attract ESG investment and see increased financial success. For this reason, Krungsri strives to emphasize the importance of businesses adapting and seamlessly incorporating ESG considerations into their operations. Many of Krungsri’s business clients, particularly the SMEs in this cohort, may be unfamiliar with the ESG landscape. Krungsri is trying to close the knowledge gap. To achieve this, the Krungsri ESG Awards program draws on SasinSEC’s competence in sustainability. The SasinSEC team, known for its understanding of sustainability theory and practice, has delivered professional advisory coaching and operational support to the program. Working together, we aim to continue to assist with stakeholder capacity building, enabling businesses to introduce ESG best practices into their operations. SasinSEC’s participation in the Krungsri ESG Awards program is another example of Sasin School of Management’s commitment to seeding sustainable business practices. This alliance with Krungsri represents more than a collaboration; it represents a committed journey toward a more sustainable and responsible corporate ecosystem.
