Sasin Management Consulting (SMC) and the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand have launched a project on how to strengthen Thailand’s trade strategies of agriculture, industry, and service sectors. The result contains five areas that Thailand needs to focus on which include Government Reformation, Human Resource Management, Connectivity, Big Database, and Strategic Partnership.
Since last year, SMC has comprehensively conducted more than 80 in-depth interviews with national experts, visited more than 30 meetings in 6 countries to gain insight from international experience and best practices, and arranged 15 focus groups in several parts of Thailand with more than 1,000 stakeholders attending. Furthermore, more than 15 articles in well-known magazines have been published and radio announcement and advertising has been made. After all, on December 20, 2016, the project concluded in a successful academic conference with a panel discussion with guests from the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand, the Federation of Thai Industries, the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives of Thailand, and the Thailand Development Research Institute (TDRI). The conference was successfully held with satisfying responses from all parties. SMC would also like to express gratitude to all the people involved in the project that helps make this a greatly successful endeavor. Thank you.
