Potential Thai Labor Problems with Launch of AEC

Associate Professor Dr. Siriyupa Roongrerngsuke, Head of the Management Faculty Group at Sasin, urges the government to rapidly develop the country’s human resources in a systematic manner for both the short-term and long-term to serve the expected surge in demand with the advent of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) at the end of this year or face a serious manpower shortage -both in terms of quality and quantity – across the board within 3 years.
