Summary: This research addresses the body image issues whereby many people are struggling with due to the contemporary consumer culture that places emphasis on unrealistic body standards. This leads to a series of individual and societal problems such as depression, eating disorders, and self-harm. Semi-structured interviews of participants with body shame experiences reveal the practice of mindfulness as a possible intervention to tackle the concerns. This study contributes to the development of body consumption theories and mindfulness concepts to help transform consumer behavior and enhance their well-being.   For more information please contact Khun Nanthapak Pinyo at 091 479 4551, 02 218 4036 or researchseminar@sasin.edu.
