23 Jan 2025
Today, January 23, marks a monumental step forward—Thailand becomes the first Southeast Asian country to legalize same-sex marriage! While this is a victory for equality, major challenges remain, particularly in workplace discrimination and stigma against LGBTQI+ individuals.
Sasin is committed to helping Thai organizations create inclusive environments for everyone, and over the last year, we partnered with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the Embassy of Canada to Thailand, and Workplace Pride to launch the Inclusion Toolkit for Organizations and Businesses—a resource featuring a straight-forward guide and 29 practical worksheets designed to help companies build workplaces where people are respected and empowered–and that work better, too!
Watch this video to hear from the diverse stakeholders who helped create the Toolkit, including members of the LGBTQI+ community who share their experiences and insights on workplace inclusion.
We are grateful to Sasin Inclusion Ambassador, Professor of Organizational Behavior, and Research Director of the Neurodiversity at Work Research Centre, Dr. Drew B. Mallory, as well as our partners, experts, volunteers, and companies, for bringing this initiative to life! We’re looking forward to the training and certification launch later this year.
