On Wednesday 20 July we heard an engaging luncheon talk on Project Management from SasinSEC expert Koichi Kanaboshi which was organized by the Sasin Human Resources Department. The event garnered wide interest and the room brimmed with enthusiastic Sasin staff members eager to deepen their understanding of project management structures and tools.
Koichi Kanaboshi, a long-time project manager at the Sasin Sustainability & Entrepreneurship Center, has built an impressive track record in overseeing startup competitions, accelerators, and incubators. His expertise is well recognized. He has been invited on numerous occasions to teach business tools and lean canvas techniques at Prince of Songkla University, as well as presenting pitching strategies for esteemed organizations like the UN Environmental Program and the Canadian Chamber of Commerce. Koichi’s extensive background in project management enriched the session.
The workshop commenced with a comprehensive exploration of the foundational elements of Project Management, encompassing Objectives, Timeline, Stakeholders, Scope, and Budget. These five key points were thoughtfully connected, forming an interconnected framework crucial for project success. In addition, Koichi demonstrated the practical implementation of this very framework in planning and executing Sasin’s immensely successful global startup competition, the ” Bangkok Business Challenge ”.
The session provided Tips & Tricks to enhance project handling, employing the collaborative power of Google Suite, and tools to foster seamless teamwork as well as a unified Master Plan that consolidates all essential project information. Trackers, date systems, and links help facilitate the seamless flow of information. Moreover, Koichi demonstrated how the Chrome Browser could be leveraged effectively to optimize productivity through personalized extensions and other useful features.
Attendees were delighted to gain insights into the fundamentals of project handing and how to approach projects from fresh perspectives. The session emphasized the importance of maintaining a well-organized workflow while consistently updating and sharing information to ensure that all team members have ready access to required data.
In conclusion, it was an exceptional learning experience that equipped participants with practical knowledge and techniques to oversee projects effectively and efficiently.
