Thai SME rising stars honored with prestigious
Bai Po Business Awards by Sasin
Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) has once again collaborated with the Sasin School of Management to hold the 14th annual presentation of the prestigious Bai Po Business Awards by Sasin. To inspire Thai SMEs striving to develop their businesses, this year the awards honored five companies, namely Glovetex Co., Ltd.; Greenday Global Co., Ltd.; Sarach Marketing Co., Ltd.; DDC Sprocket Co., Ltd.; and Somjai Books & Stationery Co., Ltd.
The award presentation ceremony was held at Siam Commercial Bank’s Talad Noi Branch, and presided over by SCB Board Chairman Anand Panyarachun. The award winners were congratulated by Thai Chamber of Commerce Honorary Chairman Dr. Ajva Taulananda, as the Chairman of Award Judging Panel, along with Sasin Director Paron Israsena Na Ayudhya, and SCB Chief Executive Officer Arthid Nanthawithaya.
Glovetex Co., Ltd. is the manufacturer of Microtex innovative gloves and personal protection equipment for industrial use. Greenday Global Co., Ltd. is the manufacturer and distributor of Greenday freeze-dried fruits and vegetables. Sarach Marketing Co., Ltd. is the manufacturer and distributor of Sarach processed tamarind products. DDC Sprocket Co., Ltd. is a designer, manufacturer, and distributor of fine blanking automobile parts. Somjai Books & Stationery Co., Ltd. is the owner of Somjai shops specializing in stationery and art equipment and supplies. All the award winners have demonstrated the potential of Thai SMEs through robust growth amid a challenging economic landscape and competition.
The award winners’ businesses must be outstanding in at least one of the eight areas set as the criteria by the Award Judging Panel: 1) Sustainable Business Practice, 2) Innovative Enterprise, 3) Customer-Focused Products and Services, 4) Branding and Marketing, 5) Operational Best Practice, 6) Financial Strength, 7) People Excellence, and 8) Entrepreneurship.
The awards have recognized and promoted Thai Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) since 2008, to highlight the strengths that are critical to success as SMEs move toward the global business arena.
