Last week, the team was declared the “Investor Track” Winner of the Asia Finals of the TiE International Start-up Competition (TISC) in New Delhi, India.
As the winner of the Investor Track, Hygia Sanitation now has the opportunity to pitch in the Global Finals at TiECon 2016 in May, Silicon Valley’s biggest entrepreneurial event that is expected to attract close to 5,000 investors and entrepreneurs.
Hygia Sanitation aims to provide ‘sanitation for all’. Their launch product, Cess to Fit, affordably retrofits and supercharges ordinary and highly abundant cesspools to be capable of ridding raw sewage of the majority of pathogens that would otherwise contaminate surrounding ground and waterways.
Hygia Sanitation team currently comprises Sasin MBA2015 students Asama Eu-Metheekul, Michiteru Kondo, Tanachote Vongsurbchart and Vivek Matri. Ajarn Nick Pisalyaput, is the team’s faculty advisor.
