Hygia Sanitation wins GSVC Southeast Asia Finals

Following recent competition successes, Sasin MBA student team, Hygia Sanitation, continues to make waves in the postgraduate-level start-up scene. At this past weekend’s Global Social Venture Competition (GSVC) – Southeast Asia Finals, hosted by the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, the team was declared one of two winners (with a team from National University of Singapore) who will go on to represent the region at the GSVC Global Finals in Bangkok starting April 1st. With this win, the team also received a US$10,000 cash prize!

GSVC, founded at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business in 1999, is one of the oldest social venture competitions and has the widest global reach, with regional programs in US, Europe, Asia, Southeast Asia, Africa, and South America. GSVC empowers aspiring entrepreneurs by providing them with mentoring, exposure and prize money to transform their ideas into real world impact. Teams from across the world learn how to design scalable models through a process that emphasizes stakeholder discovery, business innovation, and social impact assessment.

Well done Hygia Sanitation! And all the best in the next competition!
