The Sasin community was saddened by the news that our friend and Senior Advisor, Kellogg Dean Emeritus Don Jacobs, passed away on October 30th at the age of 90.
Dean Jacobs was a pioneer, mentor, and friend to Sasin starting in 1981 when Sasin’s first Director, Professor Toemsakdi Krishnamra, sent a team to Kellogg to discuss setting up a new business school in Bangkok. With Dean Jacobs’ cooperation, guidance, and through his vision of international collaboration, Sasin was born.
Even after stepping down as Dean of Kellogg in 2001, Dean Jacobs continued to offer his advice and support to Sasin and continued to teach in our Senior Executive Program well into his eighties.
The Sasin community sends our deepest sympathies to Dean Jacobs’ family, friends, and colleagues.
