Two Sasin alumni, Peetachai Dejkraisak, President of Siam Organic Co. Ltd. and Pornthida Wongphatharakul, Marketing Manager, Jasberry Co., Ltd., led Siam Organic to 2nd prize in The Venture Competition 2016. 

Mr. Nick Pisalyaput, Director of Sasin Center for Sustainability Management, was the advisor to all six teams that entered the final round of the competition. Siam Organic is a social business which helps raise the standard of living for low-income rice farmers by introducing them to Jasberry Rice farming.  Jasberry rice is a new breed of rice which combines Thai Jasmine rice with other kinds of rice that provide extra nutrition and antioxidants. The second The Venture Competition was held at the Bangkok Convention Center, Centara Grand Hotel Bangkok.
