Tanakrit “Casper” Sermsuksan, Founder of SEA Bridge and Class President of Sasin EMBA 2023, is leading Thailand in connecting entrepreneurs and experts across the region. To empower and support Thai entrepreneurs in expanding their businesses to international markets, SEA Bridge, in collaboration with the Sasin Center of Excellence, hosted the SEA Executive Roundtables under the theme “Beyond Thailand” on October 4. By bringing together experts from diverse fields—such as academia, investment, and regional business leadership—the SEA Executive Roundtables seeks to enhance and broaden Thailand’s entrepreneurial network on both regional and global levels. Tanakrit presented his “Vision 2030,” which he considers attainable rather than overly ambitious. This vision aims to drive regional economic growth through the “Just 1%” philosophy, focusing on nurturing entrepreneurs and fostering innovative solutions. During the event, he emphasized the importance of setting realistic goals, specifically targeting the international expansion of at least 1%—approximately 50,000 SMEs—both regionally and globally. Additionally, he seeks to train 1% of Southeast Asia’s top talent as entrepreneurs, with the hope that these initiatives will contribute to a 1% increase in GDP. Associate Professor Piyachart Phiromswad, Sasin Deputy Director of Learning Solutions, also presented the school’s mission to foster business growth and innovation in Thailand. Representatives from the Sasin Alumni Association, Sasin Center of Excellence, and Sasin Next emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between Sasin’s networks and the entrepreneurial community. The Sasin Center of Excellence supports SEA Bridge in advancing the future of Thailand and Southeast Asia’s economy and innovation, assisting in academic research to track progress and recommend improvements for initiatives. Together, they aim to establish Sasin and SEA Bridge as key entrepreneurial hubs in Southeast Asia.
