From December 13 to 15, 2023, a group of 20 MBA students from Meiji Business School (MBS), led by Professor Takamasa Fujioka, Director of Sasin Japan Center and Associate Dean of Meiji Professional Graduate School, visited Sasin as part of their field trip to Thailand. Sasin’s Deputy Director, Associate Professor Piyachart Phiromswad, and Chief Executive of Sasin Management Consulting, Associate Professor Chaipong Pongpanich, welcomed them on behalf of Sasin.
During their visit, the MBS students attended special sessions conducted by Mr. Thana Siriwallop, Project Director of Sasin Management Consulting, and Mr. Lars Svensson, Chief Executive of Sasin Sustainability & Entrepreneurship Center (SEC), along with Mr. Koichi Kanaboshi, Project Manager of SEC.
Later that day, they participated in lectures delivered by top executives from New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO), Zeroboard Co., Ltd., JTB Co., Ltd., and RGF HR Agent Recruitment Co., Ltd., covering trends in new energy management, decarbonization, tourism, and HRM in Thailand respectively.
On December 14 and 15, the MBS students engaged in two seminars on tourism and HRM hosted by Sasin Japan Center in collaboration with the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) and Japan Academy of Asian Market Economics, as part of their program.
Sasin and MBS established a partnership in 2019, marking MBS’s first partnership in Southeast Asia. The two institutions collaborate on student and faculty exchanges, research and data collaboration, and have established liaison offices at both campuses.
