On November 8, 2024, Sasin School of Management welcomed a delegation from the Business Families Institute at Singapore Management University (BFI@SMU) as part of BFI@SMU’s Family Entrepreneurship Programme (Family Wealth). This program aimed to provide participants with deeper insights into family business dynamics and wealth management.
The delegation was led by Associate Professor Kenneth Koh, Head of Strategy & Entrepreneurship (Education) and Academic Director of the Business Families Institute at SMU. Professor Ian Fenwick, Director of Sasin School of Management, along with Charn Srivikorn (Sasin MBA 1984), representing the FBX Executive Committee, and Prasert Thawatchokethawee, Advisor to the Sasin Asian Family Enterprise & Entrepreneurship Center, extended a warm welcome to the BFI@SMU group.
The session featured presentations on artificial intelligence and cybersecurity for family enterprises, delivered by Sasin faculty members Dr. Pinnaree Tea-makorn and Dr. Pattarawan Prasarnphanich. These presentations provided participants with valuable insights and best practices in these emerging fields.
The event underscored the commitment of both Sasin and BFI@SMU to knowledge-sharing, advancing best practices in family business education, and supporting the growth and sustainability of family enterprises in the region.
