Sasin MBA team wins 99-Second Pitch Competition

12 Feb 2016

Sasin’s MBA student team, Hygia Sanitation, won the Kiatnakin Bank 99 Second Pitch Competition, to kick off the 2016 mai Bangkok Business Challenge @ Sasin. Hygia Sanitation was represented by Sasin MBA 2015 student Michiteru Kondo, with the team winning US$750. All sixteen semi-final teams competed in this opening event.

Hygia Sanitation aims to provide ‘sanitation for all’. Their launch product, Cess to Fit, affordably retrofits and supercharges ordinary and highly abundant cesspools to rid raw sewage of the majority of pathogens that would otherwise contaminate surrounding grounds and waterways. This huge and growing market is yet untapped by any other players, almost all of whom continue to concentrate solely on reducing the need for open defecation by installing rudimentary toilet systems that utilize the ubiquitous cesspools.

The Hygia Sanitation team currently comprises MBA 2015 students Asama Eu-Metheekul, Michiteru Kondo,  Tanachote Vongsurbchart and Vivek Matri. Sasin faculty member, Nick Pisalyaput, is the team’s advisor.
