Professor Dr. Takamasa Fujioka, Director of Sasin Japan Center & Professor at Sasin School of Management, has recently been appointed as a counselor of the Union of National Economic Associations in Japan. This prestigious union, established in 1950, celebrated its 70th anniversary in 2020 as the sole nationwide federation of associations of scholars and experts in economics, commerce, and business administration. To obtain membership, an association is subject to an examination of its academic work. As of 2023, the Union has a membership of 62 academic associations in Japan.
