The Academy of International Business (AIB) recently organized the AIB Asia Pacific Conference 2023 in Bangkok on December 6-8. Sasin’s Assistant Professor Hee-Chan Song, along with panelists Nick Pisalyaput, a distinguished Sasin alumnus (MBA 2003), and Associate Professor Krittinee Nuttavuthisit, participated in a thought-provoking panel discussion on ‘Buddhism meets Business: Implications for Economic Development in a Thai Context.’ The conversation delved into the Buddhist perspective on sustainable development, highlighting the importance of sufficiency over efficiency, mindfulness over mindlessness, and addressing the potential collapse of human civilization. Assistant Professor Hee-Chan Song also assumed the role of session chair, focusing on the topic “Perspectives from Emerging Markets.” Additionally, Assistant Professor Yupin Patarapongsant, contributed as a panelist in the discussion on “Shaping the Teaching of International Business: Exploring the Impact of AI and the Metaverse.”
AIB, a global community of over 3,000 academics, is renowned for producing some of today’s most impactful research. The conference showcased a rich exchange of ideas and insights from diverse perspectives in the field.
