Sasin School of Management and Antai College of Economics and Management Exchanges Ideas on Innovation Carbon Solutions

Sasin School of Management welcomed representatives from Antai College of Economics and Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, led by Guo Fei, Associate Dean and Associate Secretary of CPC ACEM Committee, at a collaborative ideas exchange seminar on August 13, 2024. The seminar aimed to enhance knowledge exchange on low-carbon solutions, sustainable development, and energy economics. It also laid the foundation for collaborative research, strengthening academic partnerships by exploring future joint initiatives, including student and faculty exchange programs and joint educational initiatives, thereby fostering deeper academic connections and mutual learning. Sasin faculty members presented “Nature-Based Carbon Solutions for Smart Cities and Urban Wellness” delivered by Dr. Nophea Sasaki, Sasin’s Visiting Professor. The presentation explored innovative approaches to integrating nature-based solutions into urban planning to enhance sustainability and wellness in smart cities. In a parallel presentation, Associate Professor Dr. Wang Chunhua from Antai College of Economics and Management provided an overview of “China’s Low-Carbon Development.” Dr. Wang discussed China’s strategies and progress in advancing low-carbon initiatives and their implications for global environmental policy. During the open floor discussion on the low carbon energy transition, participants engaged in a dynamic exchange of ideas. The discussion centered on best practices and innovative solutions for achieving decarbonization, providing a platform for sharing insights and strategies to advance the transition to low-carbon energy. The seminar concluded with discussions on the potential for joint research projects, conferences and academic exchanges, underscoring a shared commitment to exploring future collaborations aimed at addressing contemporary global challenges.
