The Positive Impact Rating is a unique assessment that incorporates student feedback, allowing them to evaluate their school based on social impact and sustainability efforts. The Positive Impact Rating (PIR) is a student-led and student-focused assessment that evaluates impact across seven dimensions. These dimensions include governance and culture, programs, learning methods, student engagement, the institution as a role model, and public engagement. The PIR recognizes the vital role that business schools play in addressing societal needs and making a positive impact that extends beyond the realms of business and the economy. Within the Level 3 category of the PIR, there are 18 esteemed institutions from Europe, three from North America, and two from Asia. These “progressing schools” have demonstrated a positive impact across multiple dimensions of the assessment. Their commitment to creating meaningful change and contributing to a better society is evident in their efforts and outcomes. In this fourth edition, our students have made a significant contribution to this global initiative, with 12,000 students worldwide rating their business schools on social impact. The newly released Positive Impact Rating 2023 report, titled “Accelerating the societal impact of business schools,” presents a comprehensive overview of the findings and ratings from participating institutions across the globe.
