Sasin has earned a score of 70.3 for Diversity in the latest Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Executive MBA (EMBA) Rankings 2024, making it one of the top five business schools in Asia Pacific for Diversity. The QS ranking is a widely recognized global ranking system evaluating universities across various metrics. This metric evaluates the diversity of the student body and faculty, which promotes a fruitful and inclusive learning environment in Asia Pacific.
Sasin’s commitment to Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access to Learning at Sasin (IDEALS) goes beyond the QS metrics, however, aiming to enhance the educational and work experience by providing a global perspective, fostering cross-cultural understanding, and preparing students to operate in an increasingly interconnected world.
Professor Ian Fenwick, Sasin Director, stated, “Our top five position in Diversity shows our dedication to fostering an inclusive and multicultural environment, reflecting the success of our IDEALS initiative and the global perspective it brings to our students.”
Since Dr. Drew B. Mallory, Sasin Assistant Professor of Organizational Behavior, was appointed Sasin Inclusion Ambassador in 2021, he has launched numerous internal and community initiatives. Among these, Sasin has collaborated with Steps, a local social enterprise dedicated to connecting workers with disabilities to meaningful employment, to create the Neurodiversity at Work Research Centre (NWRC), which aims to connect workers with disabilities to meaningful employment. Sasin also launched the Inclusion Toolkit with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Thailand, the Embassy of Canada to Thailand, and Workplace Pride, providing practical guidance to foster LGBTQI+-inclusive workplaces.
“It’s exciting to co-create opportunities for our staff and students that reflect the core values and history of Sasin in terms of our openness to new ideas and individuals–but that challenge convention and invite growth. We are privileged to be able to lead among Thai education and businesses in this space,” said Dr. Mallory.
Sasin’s impressive achievement of scoring in the top five for Diversity in the QS Executive MBA Rankings 2024 for Asia Pacific highlights our unwavering commitment to fostering an inclusive and multicultural learning environment. This achievement showcases Sasin’s dedication to fostering a diverse and dynamic learning environment that prepares students for success in a connected world.
