Addressing Scope 3 GHG Emissions for Carbon Footprint of Organization
Sasin School of Management, a visionary leader in sustainability, is moving towards addressing Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions in its pursuit of a more sustainable future. By focusing on the Carbon Footprint of Organization and embracing a holistic approach, Sasin aims to mitigate the environmental impact of its entire value chain. Through collaboration, innovative strategies, and stakeholder engagement, Sasin is laying the foundation for a greener, more responsible tomorrow.
This groundbreaking endeavor involves the collaborative efforts of SasinSEC and the Sasin Facilities and Environment Office.
An essential catalyst in this initiative is the involvement of Varoon Varanyanond, a carbon accounting expert. With his guidance, SasinSEC will be able to measure and manage Scope 3 emissions. Moreover, SasinSEC plans to integrate the cWallet application based on a cutting edge technology developed by a competitor in the SCG Bangkok Business Challenge @ Sasin 2023 – Thailand Competition. This innovative application allows for seamless carbon footprint tracking and management, revolutionizing the way Sasin will oversee its sustainability progress.
The combined expertise of these teams will allow for comprehensive data collection and the development of effective strategies to reduce Scope 3 GHG emissions throughout Sasin’s value chain.
Sasin’s endeavor to address Scope 3 GHG emissions is a collective effort. The institution encourages all members of the Sasin community to actively participate and contribute to the success of this sustainability journey. Additionally, Sasin emphasizes the importance of responsible practices in daily operations. By adopting sustainable behaviors such as energy conservation, waste reduction, and responsible consumption, individuals can contribute to the sustainability goals of the School. This not only enhances efficiency and performance-tracking but can also empower stakeholders and inspire change. Sasin’s move sets a precedent for organizations looking to incorporate technology-driven solutions while journeying towards a sustainable future.
