Last Saturday was Orientation Day for the Sasin Class of 2022! Sasin’s new students met the Sasin Team and their classmates for the first time. In the morning session, we had a keynote presentation from Sasin EMBA 2006 & DBA 2021, Aung Kyaw Moe, CEO of 2C2P. He shared his life story, his transformation, and his Sasin journey. Then, the students got to hear from Kornkanok Yongsakul, CEO & Founder of RBL Training, to explore the art of effective networking. One of the orientation sessions was a panel discussion on Connecting to Sasin’s Startup Ecosystem. The panel was moderated by Dean Outerson, Sasin’s Ambassador & Writer-Residence, with four members of the Sasin community:

• Chonlak Mahasuvirachai (MBA 1997), Co-Founder & CEO of NocNoc.com
• Nichapat Ark (MBA 1998), Director of Open Space Ventures
• Paul Ark (DBA 2021), Partner & Head of ESG at Gobi Partners.

In afternoon sessions, our new students also learned more about the Skills & Values Module, essentials for their Sasin journey, the self-assessments that they will be taking, and the startup competition opportunities that are available to them:

At the Director’s Dinner, Sasin’s Director, Professor Ian Fenwick, gave a warm welcome to Sasin’s new students. The students also got to know our faculty members, then had a chance to introduce themselves to their classmates, and finally, they met the 2021 Student Committee members.
