Gili Beck introduced Eco Tented Camps as a sustainable model for destination development. With a diverse background including many years in F&B, tourism, environmental conservation, Gili always believes in bringing a fresh perspective and lots of positive energy whilst incorporating sustainability and responsible practices into her roles. Eco Tented Camps (ETCs) are a relatively new trend in ASEAN and the demand for them is increasing rapidly. The rising increase in tourism demand leads to over development and the exhaustion of resources in existing tourist destinations. Further facilitated by the growing conscientious tourist’s call for more responsible practices, unique travel experiences and in discovering new destinations, ETCs are a viable and sustainable solution for remote and emerging destinations, whilst practical for the conservation and decentralization of existing locations.
