In case you hadn’t heard, there’s an empowering movement gaining momentum, with women boldly stepping into the realm of entrepreneurship. Sasin’s upcoming Women Impact Entrepreneurship Day (WIED) 2024 is emblematic of a global movement and awareness campaign that promotes and supports women entrepreneurs worldwide. With this event we will be:

1. Celebrating and recognizing the achievements of women entrepreneurs;
2. Raising awareness about the challenges faced by women in starting and running businesses;
3. Promoting gender equality and women’s empowerment in entrepreneurship; and
4. Providing resources, mentorship, and networks to support women entrepreneurs.

Since its inception, the momentum for women’s entrepreneurship has gained significant international recognition under many forms and names. It has been celebrated in over 144 countries, with various organizations, companies, and individuals joining the crusade and organizing events. The Sasin School of Management’s iteration of the cause is being celebrated on March 1^st as “Women Impact Entrepreneurship Day 2024” with the theme, “New Horizons in Women Entrepreneurship: Embracing Diversity; Inspiring Change”. This topic represents the essence of inclusivity and diversity in the entrepreneurial world, emphasizing the fresh and innovative perspectives that arise from such an attitude. With partnerships being one of the lynchpins of successful entrepreneurship, Sasin is joined by a number of enthusiastic collaborators: UN Women; The Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE); WE-Can (Space Bangkok); and the UN Global Compact Network Thailand (GCNT). There will be keynote speeches, sharing sessions, and panel discussions concerning pertinent matters along with two highlight exercises: a 2030 SDG game workshop and two engaging workshops – the 2030 SDG Game, and a Gender Lens Incubation & Acceleration toolkit. This, in addition to networking opportunities with a diverse group of women entrepreneurs, business leaders, and advocates for gender equality.
