SPRINT News | “Algaeba” – the Thai AgTech startup disrupting the local aquaculture industry
Kunn Kangvansaichol, CEO and founder of Algaeba Company Limited, a Thai “AgTech” (Agriculture Technology) startup, tells the story of his remarkable journey from leaving his stable full-time employment of 11 years to getting foreign venture capital investment and exporting his product to Singapore, Philippines, Brazil, and soon, Russia. He aims to solve real problems for Thai farmers and raise both the industry’s standards and the standards of their lives as well.
SPRINT is Thailand’s first specialized accelerator for deep tech startups co-founded in 2017 by Chemicals Business, SCG, Sasin School of Management, Thailand Center of Excellence for Life Sciences (TCELS), Houston Technology Center Asia, and KX Knowledge Exchange Center. Algaeba is an alumnus from our very first batch and are currently a part of our “scale-up” edition where we bring back distinguished ventures from past cohorts to further scale their businesses with the purpose of fund raising.
